Green & Wild Smoothies



You can read about how I came to enjoy the skill of foraging or how later in my adult life that childhood passion was rekindled, after watching these educational and inspirational DVDs.   

Right now, I want to share a green smoothie recipe that I created towards the end of summer after having this wonderful and experienced guide come to our home, to help us identify a plethora of edible wild plants that were growing in our own backyard and in the woods behind our home. We are currently creating an e-book and will publish it in the near future.


Wild Sorrel / Chickweed Smoothie

11/2 - 2 cups filtered water
1 whole organic lemon or 6 drops of Jade lemon essential oil
1-2 cups fresh Wild Sorrel (pods & leaves) or Chickweed
2-3 cups Spinach or Kale
1/2 - 1 cup frozen Pineapple
1 dropper of Stevia

Add all ingredients to a Vitamix and blend on high until smooth.
